In Lessons 2 through 7 of this course, we cover “Advanced” model steam topics, we provide an overview of the Gauge 1 hobby, fundamentals of steam power, application of steam power down through history, the anatomy of a prototype (“real”) steam locomotive, and an overview of 3 1/2, 4 3/4, and 7 1/4 gauge ride-on locomotives and their operation.
To present and discuss the course materials and to answer your questions, these will be in “live” on-line discussion session(s) using Zoom.

Once you have completed these lessons, by appointment we will provide you with individualized hands-on live steam operating sessions at the GHLS Club, in both Gauge 1 and ride-on scales.
