The “Standard 16 Sail Winch from Andersen of Denmark. To quote Andersen, these are winches with “uncompromising quality. Small yachts need quality winches just as much as large yachts. The crews of small yachts also need to economize on manpower, and there is a need for positive sheet adjustment. Uncompromising quality is an ANDERSEN Winches© hallmark that starts with standard winches. Manufactured in stainless steel, these all feature the Power Rib© to facilitate winching under all conditions and circumstances.” This winch was purchased for use on an iceboat but eventually was not used for that purpose. We believe that it was never used. It does have some minor nicks and scratches. It is still currently manufactured and is typically offered at over $400 U.S. in the retail marketplace as a Google search on “Anderson 16” and “winch” will verify the retail price.
