The Golden Horseshoe Live Steamers run locomotives on track located at the Hamilton Museum of Steam and Technology in Hamilton, Ontario Canada

• 1200 feet of elevated dual gauge (4 ¾" and 3 ½") track with transfer table and steaming bays
• 1400 feet of ground mounted 7 ¼" gauge track with turntable and loading hoist
• Club riding cars for all gauges

• Share a common interest with our members and others
• Promote the hobby
• Educate the public, especially children about live steam and steam locomotives
• Assist each other with all aspects of the hobby
• Expand our track, membership, and operations

Club running days are most Sundays from May to October. The club also holds 7 public running days and participates in 2-4 additional special events at the museum through the summer.

The Golden Horseshoe Live Steamers sponsor the Ontario Model Locomotive Efficiency Trials, an annual efficiency competition for live steam hobbyists. The competition is normally held on the fourth Sunday in June. Click here to learn more about the OMLET.
